I haven't posted one of these in about a month and a half, but there is a reason for that. First and foremost I am chronically lazy, I had to go through the absolute chore of moving apartments, and I look a vacation to Vegas that set my life back about two years (the whole "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas," slogan could not be futher from the truth, debt collectors know no boundries). Anyway here are some of the things that have been going through my brain as of late:
Cardinals pitcher Mike Parisi is batting .250 with a .750 OPS, and had an 8.22 ERA with a 5.09 K/9. Royals short stop Tony Pena Jr is batting .150 with a .369 OPS, and has a 0.00 ERA to go along with 9 K/9. Could a trade and position change strengthen the bottom of the Royals line up while simultaneously fixing the Cardinals bullpen problems? Dayton Moore? John Mozeliak?
After watching the nearly unwatchable ESPY’s I have decided if I ever go into standup comedy I want Kevin Garnett front row every time, that guy will laugh at anything.
Speaking of the ESPY’s, after watching Eli Manning and his Giants teammates on stage after winning team of the year does anyone else get the feeling that Manning is the only quarterback in history that won a Super Bowl and still has to deal with wedgies and swirlies?
I saw the Philadelphia Soul won the Arena League Championship. Does having Jon Bon Jovi holding your leagues championship trophy over his head help or hurt with the legitimacy of the league? Hold on, I just remembered the cast members of the "Real World: Philadelphia" were employed by the Soul…ouch.
While we’re on the topic of reality TV has anyone seen the new VH1 show "I Love Money?" After watching one episode you almost getting the feeling that Coral from the Real World is going to pop out of left field, wrap here hands around Heather from Rock of Love’s throat and yell "Quit whoring yourself out!"
Glad Shaq told everyone that he got a vasectomy in his anti Kobe freestyle…paging Shawn Kemp.
A quick baseball question. Why do the base coaches have to where helmets while the umpires that stand right next to them don’t? The umps are just that expendable?
And thats it, I got nothing left.
