Update

 Uncategorized

I'll start this out with another apology-- to "disgusted" in particular-- for not posting on a regular basis and forgetting to open up comments when I do.  I could make a bunch of excuses about being too busy now that I am back on the Sports Reporters*, but I think we all know it comes down to chronic laziness.
In the future I'll try to make updates twice a week.  I'll put the usual convoluted BS up in the middle of the week, and I'll post the upcoming weeks Sports Reporters guest list either Sunday night or Monday morning.
Before I get to the Sports Reporters guest for this week I would first like to thank everyone who has listened to and contributed to the Saturday Afternoon Sports Talk program Adam Vaggalis and I host.  Over the past few weeks the calls have become more and more intelligent, and I feel like the program is getting better and better.  If you have something that that can add to our presentation please call in or email us at jockstudio@radiospringfield.com while we are on the air.

Now for the Sports Reporters Guest:

Monday:  "Big Wave" Dave Collins - Assistant MSU swim coach
Tuesday:  Bob Sturm- host of the Dallas Cowboys Pre-game show
Wed:  Erin Bolen-  Springfield Newsleader
Thursday:  Best of Show-  Merry Xmas
Friday:  Mystery guest

9-11 am CST, listen live on radiospringfield.com

Yes, I'm sure I showed "disgusted" who is boss. Unless "disgusted" is just a pen name to describe the feelings of a casual reader who post under a different alias every time...Nooo, thats just foolish.
As far as Notre Dame goes it was nice to see them finally snap their bowl losing streak. As I went to bed last night I had an unfamiliar optimism I hadn't felt since before the '06 USC game. I then realized that optimism came from beating a fair to spare team team in a third tier bowl game played outside the continental United States, and came back to earth quickly.
That being said, if Notre Dame doesn't win 9-10 games next year there is no question Weis should go. The playmakers we saw in the Aloha Bowl (Clausen, Tate, Brian Smith, and Michael Floyd) should develop with another year of good coaching, and next years schedule is the weakest I've ever seen at Notre Dame. Seriously, Washington and Washington St.? Why not start back up the home and home with Iowa Pre-Flight?
New post should be up by Friday afternoon by 3 pm CST with predictions on the three most interesting non BCS bowl games. Thanks for reading and your comments, Merry X-Mas/5th day of Hanukkah/Whatever may apply to you.

i see by the lack of "disgusted"'s message being posted that it hit a little too close to home. Speaking of hitting close to home, ND just won a bowl game after you denounced them...jackass

big wave--remember the ALAMO!

Actually the Big Wave interview had to be put off after a death in the Evangel athletic department. He will be on Tuesday around 9:30.
