Good High School Football Talent

 Uncategorized

There is a realistic possibility of 7 to 10 Division 1 football signees from the Ozarks after this season.  That number could be as high as ever for Southwest Missouri.

Headlining the list is Tyler Evans from Strafford, who has verballed to Oklahoma to play for the Sooners.  Evans, a four year starter for Strafford will play offensive guard at the Big 12 Conference School.  He is ranked as the 8th best High School player in Missouri this season.

Glendale Receiver Alex Sanders and Lebanon linemen Justin Britt will be teammates at the University of Missouri next season.  Sanders will switch to Tight End and Britt will be on the offensive line.  Sanders is ranked 14th, while Britt is 17th in the state.

Mark Hill of Branson is another potential D1 signee.  He has visited Arkansas and may end up playing at the same school as his brother Steven, who starred for the Razorbacks basketball team the past four years.  HIll is listed as an offensive lineman and is ranked 20th in the state.

Three other athletes are being recruited by Division 1 schools, but haven't made their decisions yet.  Monett OL Jacob Barker, Cody Holland OL from Neosho and DE Cody Rosier from Buffalo will all gather interest and may end up playing at that level.

To put the number in perspective, there have been years recently that one to two athletes from Southwest Missouri have signed to play Division 1 football, which could make this one magical season for fans this season.
