From professional ranks to the elite collegiate programs across the country, a virtual Who's Who of outstanding basketball players have competed in what has become the showcase girls' high school basketball tournament of the Midwest. Krestchmar presents the KTXR Lady Classic, brought to you by the Springfield Hotel and Motel Association.
The annual event, played one final time in Drury University's Weiser Gym (before moving to DU's new O'Reilly Family Event Center in 2010-2011), provides a unique opportunity for prep basketball fans to see tomorrow's college and pro stars today at the high school level. It is indeed a tremendous honor to be invited to participate in what has become one of the Ozark's great holiday basketball traditions, and in an event which has propelled many a team on to a high level of success in their respective state tournaments once they leave Springfield. This winter, the event features quality teams from Missouri, Oklahoma, Illinois, Kansas and Kentucky, all ready to put on a show for area fans and do battle for the Lady Classic title in the event's 10th straight year at Weiser Gym
